After last months review, I decided this monthly subscription service is worth it. Since then, I have decided to start doing monthly reviews on the products that I recieve inside my Birchbox. Below is my review of all five of the items I received in March's box, enjoy!

The first item in this box is the Amika Brooklyn Bombshell Blowout Spray. I have to admit that I had to watch a youtube tutorial or two on how to do an at home blowout, and I am still not exactly sure if I did it right. This spray was probably my least favorite item from this months box, as I feel like it did not do much for my hair. This spray does protect your hair from heat, but not much else. It claims to nourish your hair and give it volume, but in my experience it did not do either. I have somewhat thin hair, and this spray was a little too heavy and weighed my hair down rather quickly. Overall this spray smells great and is a pretty good heat protector, but I personally think the price is too high for what it is.

Next in March's box is the MAC Cosmetics Cleanse Off Oil. I personally love using oils for taking off makeup, so I was excited to give this a try. Like I said in last month's post, I have not tried much from MAC, so I was excited again this month to get to try a second product. The first thing I noticed when I started using this product is that it smelt great. According to the description for this product it includes olive fruit, evening primrose, and jojoba, which is where I think the scent comes from. I would not recommend this product for people with oily skin, but as someone with very dry skin, this oil works great because it leaves your skin moisturized even after washing it off. It made my skin feel soft after using it which I have not experienced with any other cleansing oils before. Like I said before, I do not think people with more oily prone skin would find this product as great as I do, but I would highly recommend for anyone with a skin type close to mine.

Like I stated in last month's review, I am a little bit of a lipstick junkie. I was excited to see another lipstick in March's box, and even more excited to see it was a dark shade. The color is gorgeous and I think it would compliment many skin tones, but the formula is just 'meh' to me. I would recommend bullet lipsticks for anyone who doesn't like how drying liquid lips can be, but I found this lipstick to be a little bit too moisturizing; it applied more like a lip balm than a lipstick. The formula overall is not bad, the staying power is actually pretty good. I personally just prefer more pigmented matte lipsticks, rather than a lipstick with a balm like texture.

This next item is what I am most excited about in this months box; I had been wanting to try this for months but didn't want to spend the full price without testing it first. This item is the texture of a lip gloss, but when applied over a lip color, turns any lipstick into a matte lipstick. I used this with the lipstick that came in this months box, as well as other non-matte lipsticks I already owned, and it worked great with all of them. The description of this product claims " Now you can wear your favorite shades two different ways, instantly doubling your lipstick options." which I think is great! If you have a lot of lipsticks that you want to use up, this product would be a great way to do that.

Lastly, March's box included the Supergoop Daily CC Cream. I had a hard time getting to really try this product this month because the shade is slightly too dark for me. This CC cream is one that only comes in three shades, which would be okay if it was very light coverage, but it is not. It is lighter coverage than a regular foundation, but it was pretty obvious that the shade was too dark for my face when I tried wearing it. Based off of the shade range alone I don't think I would recommend this product. It's great to wear a base that has sunscreen in it, especially with summer coming up, but I would recommend investing in a moisturizer or primer with SPF, rather than buying this product.
